First Binding Experimentation
This prototype is really useful for later digital layout in Indesign. I realised some crucial issues in the process of binding and folding.
- the edge of book is not easy to align even though I glue them one sheet by one.
- the width of glue area has to be consider when I layout the digital version. Such as using the guide line on the page.
- the option of glue – the stick glue is too sticky to align two pages. Richard suggests us to try the crafted PVA glue.
- This kind of binding is more three-dimensional. The group plans to print on double sides so that I could use this draft book understand – how image and text work through this long ‘space’.
